It’s going to be a raucous good time when Kris Roe brings punk-rock outfit The Ataris to Skull Alley tonight. The band got their big break when Roe, an Indiana native, slipped a demo to a member of The Vandals after a show in Cincinnati. More than a decade after that fateful sleight of hand, the band is still together making appearances at festivals like The Warped Tour, and opening shows for iconic pop-punkers Blink-182. With a special blend of punk and power-pop, they have remained on the forefront of the indie scene while still headlining shows regularly all over the country. Tonight they’ll be playing with locals Nowhere Fast, Alcohawk and Sugar Spell It Out. —Brent Owen
