720 Oxmoor Ave. (behind Oxmoor Mall)
$10-$15; 6:30 p.m.
If you need your bluegrass thirst quenched, then look no further than the annual Bluegrass Night at Oxmoor Farm. This year, the event will feature the unique styles of homegrown faves Hog Operation and Relic.
Relic will kick things off with their own personal spin on the bluegrass form and then heave it over to Hog Operation, whose style samples a little bit of everything — blues, Celtic, rock, country — all in the name of a unique style. These guys are steeped in the influence of early American music, with everything from field holler to the lonesome sounds of the early Celtic settlers. The Filson Historical society invites you to drop a blanket and enjoy the show. —Dennis O’Neil
