Art enthusiasts and sports fans unite: The Arts Council of Southern Indiana is celebrating the 125th anniversary of Louisville Slugger with an exhibit featuring various interpretations of the bat. Thirty artists produced quilts, sculptures, paintings and more. The public can vote for their favorite submission at the museum. Winners will be announced Saturday evening, and guests can enjoy a buffet, tour, film and silent auction. A cash bar and a chance to win prizes valued up to $1,000 will be also available. —Miranda Walton

The popular Neil Simon / Bob Fosse Musical SWEET CHARITY is being produced at Jeffersonville, Indiana’s RiverStage. Sweet Charity is portrayed by Alicia Corcoran-Scott who is also the choreographer.  Simon’s hilarious 1960′s musical is directed by Gabe Scott and produced by Patty Simmonds. Bring a lawn chair.

The final leg of the national competition for female impersonators of the year will be held Sunday at the Palace Theatre. While promoters remain tight-lipped about the details, we do know that the theme is “Alice in Wonderland,” and contestants will interpret their attire as they see fit. Nina West, winner of the 2008 Entertainer of the Year, will also take the stage to pass on the crown. It’s sure to be a night of glitz, glamour and glory. Entertainer of the Year is presented by the SLS Pride Foundation, a nonprofit arts and humanities organization dedicated to the betterment of diverse cultures. —Sara Havens
