I’m a middle child, so I know a thing or two about sibling rivalry. Who hasn’t wanted to sell a brother or sister into slavery over a little back-to-school wardrobe skirmish? It’s not like dopey Joseph wasn’t asking for it, with his megalomaniacal dreams and pimped-out jacket. Derby Dinner Playhouse, currently in its 35th season as Southern Indiana’s only professional dinner theater, presents this early exuberant work by musical theater giants Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice. Directed by Lee Buckholz and choreographed by Barbara Cullen, these lighthearted song-and-dance numbers inject some much-needed levity into the familiar Old Testament story. A show at Derby Dinner includes a full Southern buffet — yes, there’s also a bar! — for an afternoon or evening of family entertainment. —Erin Keane
