David Allen Sibley, preeminent bird-guide author and illustrator, will visit Carmichael’s to present his newest project, “The Sibley Guide to Trees.” David Sibley has used his formidable skills to compress a huge amount of information into a logical, accessible, and easy-to-use guide with more than 4000 exquisitely detailed paintings and 500 range maps. The book also contains essays on taxonomy, the cultivation of trees, and conservation, reflecting Sibley’s deep concern with habitat preservation and environmental health.
