Free; 7 p.m.
A 45-minute Candlelight Walk Marking the 40th Anniversary Of the Death by Hunger in Louisville of 9-year-old Bobby Ellis. Please join us at Plymouth Community Renewal Center (17th and Chestnut) as we walk 6 blocks to Muhammad Ali and W.J. Hodge (21st. St.), the spot where young Bobby Ellis died of malnutrition in 1969. Bobby’s death led to the creation of the Hunger Walk and Louisville’s Dare to Care Food Bank. Help us honor Bobby and all of the people in our midst who suffer from hunger. Join us in making a commitment to redouble our efforts to eliminate hunger in our community.
