Hardcore rockers 32 Frames, who last played in July 2003, plan a reunion show to raise money for St. Jude’s Cancer Center and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Guitarist Jim Dzurovcak pulled the band back together after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer earlier this year. “32 Frames has always been, musically, the thing I’m most proud of,” he says. As he’s been undergoing radiation therapy during the last year, the reunion show has been giving him something to look forward to — hence his reason to give half the money to Make-A-Wish. “Why not give kids something to look forward to, too?”

Dzurovcak said his prognosis is good, but he’s still visiting doctors regularly to ensure he remains cancer-free. Frontier(s), Brother Doubt and Sink ’Em Low also play. —David A. Mann
