When you, as a member of the Metro community, view contemporary art, what is going through your head (other than “What the %#*&!”)? The Speed Art Museum wants to know, so they have organized the exhibition “What Would the Community Think?”
To further that dialogue, they have also issued a call for art reflecting the question, “What about Louisville inspires you?” “Louisville 27: Community” will display and sell the donated original art for $27, with proceeds going to the museum’s educational programs. Unfortunately, the catch is that all the work will be unsigned. Submission forms with details are available at the front desk or by contacting Sarah Cassidy at scassidy@speedmuseum.org or 634-2733. The deadline is Jan. 24. —Jo Anne Triplett
