The Louisville Orchestra starts out the New Year by showing their stuff at the Brown Theatre led by Resident Conductor, Jason Weinberger. The theme to this year’s season is “The Virtuoso Orchestra,” and our first program of the New Year is designed, beautifully, to illustrate the point.

•Kentucky Fitness Challenge

Men, women, and children from all over the region will compete in Kentucky’s first functional fitness challenge event. This event will test individual’s muscular fitness, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, speed, and agility. For more information go to www.metrocrosstraining.com.

•Family Fun Workshop

At the Jan. 9 workshop, they will be making Festive Fabric Flowers using 3″ fabric squares, rubber bands, and pipe cleaners (no sewing required). Fabric is provided, but families are also welcome to bring any fabric remnants from home they would like to use. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Suggested ages 2-12.

•Looking for Lilith Auditions

Saturday, Jan. 9 & 16

Who: Any and all female actors over the age of 20
What: Looking for Lilith’s Crossing Mountains: To Teach All We Can and To
Learn All We Can – an original play which explores 100 years of education
and change in the Kentucky mountains at the Hindman Settlement School
When: Saturday, January 9th, 4:30 – 6:30 and Saturday, January 16th, 4:30 -
6:30*
Where: T.B.D.
Why: Because it is a wonderful show, a great company to work with and you
will get paid and might get tour gigs (which also pay)!

347-439-8884 for a 15 minute appointment. Let her know your preferred time
and she will try to accommodate.  Prepare a 1-2 minute monologue and wear
clothes for movement.  You will also be asked to read from the script.

•Clarksville Little Theatre Auditions

Auditions for “Harvey,” directed by Craig Nolan Highley. Please bring a headshot and resume. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Production Dates: March 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 2010.
