Studio 502 is putting together a Louisville Arts Live night at the Glassworks building Friday that’s shaping up to be quite the event. The theme will be “An Evening in the Orient,” and the night will include two fashion shows (male and female) with local designers like Ryan Joyner and Soreyda Benedit-Begley, courtesy of Louisville Fashion Network. (We’re also told that, yes, geishas will be present.) The event will also include live music from artists like Andrea Davidson, BoomBox Saints, Justin Lewis and more, as well as work by visual artists such as Chase Collins, Liz Eddy and Michael Alexander. Poet Ron Whitehead will perform between sets, and there will even be DJs spinning tunes on the first floor of the building. If that isn’t enough, there will be an after party at Jazzy Blu Café and Lounge, located in Glassworks. —Kevin Gibson
