The Education Department at the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft will host several drop-in workshops during Spring Break week. Parents will have the opportunity to create artwork with their children. Parents and kids ages 4 and up are invited to stop by anytime between 1:00pm–4:00pm on April 5, 7 and 9 to spend 20-30 minutes on a hands-on art project, then tour the Museum’s three floors of exhibition galleries. The cost is $6 per child. No reservations necessary.
The projects offered this year are:
April 5th – Identity Portraits. Participants will create a portrait using fabric, buttons, and other embellishments to express their personality.
April 7th – Fun Foam Prints. Participants will use fun foam to create their own stamp which can be used to make prints.
April 9th – Paper engineering. Participants will learn how to fold and manipulate paper to create 3-dimensional sculptures.
