The Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft, 715 W. Main St., 589-0102, is holding a silk painting workshop for Mother’s Day on Saturday, May 8 from 12-4 p.m. Participants will create a personalized silk scarf as a gift for Mother’s Day or they can bring their mother along to make her own.
Luci Mistratov, an artist who has a bachelor’s degree in biology and a Ph.D. in art education, will lead the workshop. Using the gutta resist technique, students will use fabric dyes to create images on silk scarves. $50 museum members, $55 for non-members.
