“casey roberts: a forest, and the biggest thing possible” at The 930, 930 Mary St., from July 23-Sept. 5. The opening reception is July 23 from 8-11 p.m. with an artist talk at 8:15 p.m. Roberts is also teaching the workshop “Experimenting with Cyanotype” on Saturday, July 24. 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Through an exhibit and a hands on workshop, artist Casey Roberts will share the unique painting process he’s developed over the last ten years. Casey uses photo-sensitive chemicals as his paint and then literally develops his paintings, then adding collage, bleach, and small areas of traditional paint. Primarily using landscape as the content of his work, trees and moths and mountains mingle with ghosts and rainbows and gems.
