Crane House, the Asia Institute, Inc., 1244 S. Third St., 635-2240, is presenting “Tiếng Noí Lưu Vong: Moving Voices,” an exhibition documenting the development of the Vietnamese Oral History Project. On view from Aug. 6-Oct. 17, the project initially started as an endeavor to obtain an exhibit on the life of Vietnamese after the Vietnam War, has grown into a project to record and preserve the story of the local Vietnamese community. The photographs, artifacts and oral history recordings on display give voice to Louisville’s Vietnamese community and the project team, during the initial phases of the project.
An opening reception will be held Friday, Aug. 6 at 6 pm and a gallery talk with the project team is scheduled for Thursday, September 30 at 6 pm. Admission is free.
