What: “A Gathering for the River — Clean Water for All God’s Children” A Faith and Community Meeting on Water and the Coal Ash Problem, moderator will be Jim Jenkins, former Mayor of Shively.
There will be a panel of faith leaders, stories from residents, call to action, details on coal ash hearing in September. Refreshments will be served. Open to the entire community—come learn more about what we can do to protect clean water for our community.
“Stockpiling coal ash so close to people’s home is a direct threat to the health of our children,” said Tim Darst Executive Director of Kentucky Interfaith Power & Light, “the community needs to know what is going on in our own backyard and what the risks are.
