“Drawings from ‘The Nos’” by Douglas Miller will be at Quills Coffeehouse, 930 Baxter Ave., from Oct. 3-Nov. 4. The reception is Oct. 8 at 7:00 p.m.
Miller’s new drawings are inspired by Nicolai Gogol’s short story “Nos” (The Nose). Written in 1835, “Nos” is a comical and distressing story of a nose that mysteriously disappears from a man’s face and seems to lead a life of its own.
