“Reflections of the Orchid Pavilion” at Crane House

Crane House, The Asia Institute, Inc., 1244 S. Third St., 635-2240, is presenting “Reflections of the Orchid Pavilion: Chinese Calligraphy by Students and Faculty of the Hite Art Institute” from March 25-May 27. The exhibition showcases the results of the “Chinese Calligraphy” course offered in the fall of 2010 at U of L’s Hite Art Institute. The exhibit includes writing in archaic and classical scripts, seal carving, ink painting, and contemporary approaches of calligraphy work created by the students and their instructors.

A public opening will be held on Friday, March 25 at 6 p.m. A gallery talk is scheduled for Thursday, April 14 at 6 p.m. Exhibition admission is free.
