This week, multi-faceted Burlesque Performer, Jeanette Martinez A.K.A. Soulfire Bay, will model for Cabaret Life Drawing. Soulfire Bay began contortion when she was 4 year old. She is an contortionist, aerialist, model, burlesque and fire performer, and has over 20 years of contortion experience, 15 years in the aerial arts, and has worked at over a 100 venues across America. Soulfire Bay currently works with Lacore Valmon Circus, Cirque Airotic Burlesque Troupe, and Mondo-A-Go Go, as well as an independent performance artist.
Cabaret Life Drawing is an evening of provocative inspiration. An array of models – from burlesque starlets to ballerinas, body builders to fetish models, circus contortionists to costume designers – will perform and pose for the audience to sketch. This class is for professional and beginning artists alike. Just $10 at the door, $5 for students, attendees should being their own easel & drawing board with sketchbook and drawing supplies. Yoga with Art is designed for the beginner to the advanced student. Sessions are just $5 at the door. This week, Certified Yoga Teacher, Julie Keel will teach Yoga with Art. Attendees should bring their own mat or towel and water and arrive early to ensure a spot because space is limited.
