“The Caudills of the Cumberlands” program at Carnegie

The Carnegie Center for Art & History, 201 E. Spring St. in New Albany, 812-944-7336, is hosting a program and book signing for “The Caudills of the Cumberlands: Anne’s Story of Life with Harry” with Anne Caudill and author Terry Cummins, on Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 6-7 p.m. This program is free, but seating is limited and registration is required.

Appalachian author and activist Harry Caudill published the first edition of his landmark bestseller “Night Comes to the Cumberlands” in 1963 – fifty years ago this year. In “The Caudills of the Cumberlands: Anne’s Story of Life with Harry,” Anne Caudill, at age 89, tells author Terry Cummins fascinating and incredible stories from her life with Harry in Appalachia.
